Meals on Wheels

Food is a basic need, a life necessity.

What we eat or don’t eat affects our mental, emotional and physical well-being.   We offer three programs that are designed to help our clients to eat healthily, get proper nutrition and remain independent in their own homes.

1. Meals on Wheels - Hot Meals Option

2. Meals on Wheels - Frozen Meals Option

3. Grocery Delivery Program

Meals on Wheels

The Meals on Wheels programs provide quality and affordable meals to seniors living alone, adults with disabilities who are unable to shop for groceries or cook for themselves, or those being discharged from an area hospital with limited/no help available during their recovery.

Benefits of Our Meals on Wheels Programs

Our Meals on Wheels programs are more than a meal.  It also provides a social visit by one of our caring volunteers, a safety check for many who are isolated, ensuring that our clients are doing well on their own.

We can create an automatic meal delivery plan so that our clients do not have to remember to call in their order each time.

All of our containers may be used to heat up meals later and we can accommodate several diet needs.

Service options are flexible, you can receive Meals on Wheels on a short-term basis while you recuperate or on a long-term basis so that you can stay healthy by eating properly in your own home.

“I am thoroughly enjoying your meals. I was surprised at the variety. It is wonderful. Bless you, all. The meals have allowed Mom to stay in her home this past year," said Philip K., age 66, Meals on Wheels client

1. Hot Meals Option

How does butternut squash soup, BBQ chicken breast, roasted potato, mixed vegetable with herbs, onion and peppers with a roll and for dessert, apple crisp sound?

Our hot meals are prepared fresh in a professional kitchen and menus change seasonally.  They range from $9.00 to $10.00 each and include soup or salad, entrée, roll and dessert.  Our volunteers pick up their packed, insulated bags containing hot meals and deliver them to our client’s homes along a pre-planned route.   Our Hot Meals program is available in the following communities, click through the button for more information:
