Good For You! Exercise at Home Brochure

We designed two sets of exercises to help you stay flexible, strong and steady on your feet. One set you can do with the support of a chair or kitchen counter. The other set you do sitting in a chair.  You may print this document linked here or if you'd like an already printed version, please contact your local Community Care Office

Pole Walking

We currently offer an outdoor pole walking group that meets each week: Pole Walking for Fitness – Tuesdays from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. (weather dependent). For November 2024, we'll be meeting at: Trent University Wildlife Sanctuary, 801 University Rd, Peterborough. Please note, the location changes each month. See the In Class Free Exercise and Wellness Calendar (catalog above) for more details.

Walking poles help many people walk more comfortably because they take some of the strain off lower back, hips, knees and ankles. We have some good quality poles for sale. If you'd like help selecting the right ones and purchasing a pair, please contact us through this link here.
