Community Care Peterborough is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 4th Annual Gary Dalliday Memorial Caring for Our Communities Golf Tournament, taking place on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club.
All proceeds from this special event will support Community Care’s Meals on Wheels program, providing nourishment and connection for seniors and adults living with disabilities in the City of Peterborough, West Selwyn Township, the Municipality of Trent Lakes, and Curve Lake First Nation.
Named in honour of the late Gary Dalliday, the tournament pays tribute to his incredible contributions to the Peterborough community. Affectionately known as “The Diller,” Gary was a beloved CHEX-TV sportscaster, the radio voice of the Peterborough Petes, and a longtime supporter of local sports. He was also a passionate volunteer with Community Care Peterborough, delivering Meals on Wheels to those in need.
The event was inspired by Gary’s grandson, Nick Bozec, as a way to honour his grandfather’s legacy. Speaking on behalf of the family, Pete Dalliday shared:
“Our family is proud and thankful for this opportunity. My dad would be very pleased with the proceeds of this event helping Community Care.”
Last year’s tournament raised $18,000, thanks to the generous support of golfers, sponsors, and community members. NAPA Auto Parts returns as the tournament’s title sponsor, continuing their strong commitment to supporting local seniors.
The day begins with a BBQ lunch at 11:30 AM, followed by a 1:00 PM shotgun start. Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a cart, two meals, prizes, and more—capped off with a dinner and awards ceremony.
Register now at www.commcareptbo.org—spots are limited and expected to fill quickly!
